    Where is it from ?
Is there not a key for it ?
Could mean it was unpaid and now it is.

it's from my equifax report and unfortunately I'm using a mobile phone so cant bring up anymore information on it. I think they use numbers for missed payments.
cant seem to find a key table anywhere unfortunately
  • sorry I read what you typed as missed payment not unpaid

U is usually Unrecorded often seen at beginning of a new credit agreement before 1st payment is taken.
It means something like 'No Data' was collected for that month.
Very different from a late or missed payment.
Replenished CRA Reports.2020 Nissan Leaf 128-149 miles top charge. Savings depleted. VM Stream tv M250 Volted to M350 then M500 since returned to 1gb
  • I would agree with Dandytf usually whenever I have seen a U it comes up as unrecorded

    Mortgage Amount Outstanding £116,682.20
    2025 Mortgage-Free Wannabes #49 £1401.29/£1,250 (104.74%/100.00%)
  • Generally at the start meaning no payment due/no data to provide - but can be applied mid-agreement if the facility hasn't been used for the entire month - e.g. I've had Barclays and Nationwide apply U's when I've not touched the accounts for a month.

Shopping / Mail Order accounts also also do it if you've not used them for a while (or they'll just settle the account and bring it back to life next time you buy something)

It's supposed to be neutral - not negative, but wouldn't be as positive as say a status 0.
