How long does a PPI case take with the Financial Ombudsman?

After a finance company refused my direct application for a PPI refund, I contacted the Financial Ombudsman. Based on the info I provided they ruled in my favour but the finance company has insisted on more information from me. I provided this at the beginning of November in 2019 but haven't had anything since. I phoned for an update just before Christmas but my case handler made me feel like I was an idiot for expecting anything to have happened in almost two months. Has anyone been in a similar situation? And if so, how long did it take to resolve? They've had the case for almost 7 months now.

That's not particularly long given the current climate.
Maybe chase towards the end of the year if you haven't heard anything more.2
