    If this lockdown continued I could easily envisage a system whereby some sort of certificate is given to you confirming you had passed an antibody test which would allow you to return to some degree of normality.
    It would be a pain if you had to carry it around everywhere and might lose it etc. Perhaps those of us who were demonstrably special could get a serial number or barcode tattooed on their wrist, to allow us to swipe through turnstiles at barricades or buy things in shops or whatever.

    Someone asked the same question on Any Questions yesterday.  The government minister patiently explained some of of the priorities for testing, which of course included NHS workers but also included people considered key to the overall corona virus effort.  As the leader of the country I think our PM falls into that category.

    I suppose generally I am a bit sceptical about widespread testing being that useful in actually preventing anything .

    Spread. Those that come into close contact with others. Teachers for example. Once schools are reopen then child minding responsibilities are eased. Normality can progressively be resumed in stages.

    I get the sarcasm but what would you suggest then?  I'm sure you have something demonstrably special to say.  ;)
    Incidentally Germany announced a few hours ago that they will introduce immunity certificates;

    The article is behind a paywall but you get the idea.

    Sounds better than a tag attached with string around your big toe.

    So I have stuck with 'time in the market not timing the market' and we are now back about half way from the trough - of course it could still go any direction from here (I think the hit on the economy is not fully priced in yet) but some spoke of reducing their exposure when the market was at or close to the bottom - I wonder if anyone did get scared enough to bail out.

    It is almost better to be in the old days where I only knew how my pension was doing from an annual statement rather than seeing it overtime I log into online banking.
    I think....

    There were plenty of threads about it on the savings forum, where some said they cashed out at the bottom.

    Madness, IMHO

    I had stopped selling off collective investments by the 5th March (started a considered pruning process in mid February as news events were unfolding in China) .  Was back in the market selectively buying individual shares on the 9th March.
