notice of disassociation

Hi,
I used to have joint mortgage with my ex but managed to remortgage in my own name recently. I would like to remove my ex's name from my credit file. Will it update itself in time to show I'm no longer associate with him or it's something I need to tell the credit reference agencies myself? There's no dispute or anything (rejected application). I just don't want to be linked with him anymore.
Please advise.
Many thanks.

You need to file a notice of disassociation with each CRA.1

You can only be dissociated if you no longer have any joint credit products with this person. Assuming this is the case, it should filter through automatically, but I'd raise a dispute with all 3 CRAs to file for dissociation and speed things up.1
