Buying a car a timing belt changed?

Excuse my ignorance . I don't know much about cars.

I've been looking for a car on auto trader. I've seen a 2nd hand dealer selling one. He has stated ' timing belt and diesal pump changed recently which costs of £600. Receipts available'

Is that usually  good sign that parts are new? Or one that is a warning signal stating car needed repairs and may need more?

Timing belts are consumables. and usually when they are changed the water pump is changed at the same time - are you sure it was the diesel pump that was changed and not the water pump?

The timing belt is a consumable, so being able to prove that it's recently been changed is a good thing, generally. Maybe on the vehicle you are looking at, the diesel pump is a common failure at a certain age or mileage, and perhaps it's mentioned in the ad because of that. It may be that the seller is listing these things to give an indication of how the vehicle has been looked after.
