Item not delivered as promised - What are my rights?

Tumble dryer supposed to be delivered today. Took time off work for delivery.
Started to get suspicious when I'd not heard anything. Contacted the company, BOX, who said, yes, it should be delivered today but they're "supplier" sent it out.
Anyway, not today, tomorrow now. Reasons "not their fault its the supplier" and "its because of bad weather".
Sounds like total rubbish to me. Someones dropped the ball here. Its caused me major hassle - I was avail today but not tomorrow.
What are my rights here?
