Itv hub stalling

i'm having problems with itv catchup through my smart tv. When we load a program it runs until the first adver then for a few minutes after then it freezes.We try to return to the main page and the tv completely freezes and has to be turned back on again. We are logged in to ITV correctly and its a Hisense h43b7500.
I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.

    Interestingly I was able to watch the programme via laptop connected by hdmi cable. Not a solution but a workaround.
