VAX Carpet Cleaner

I have a VAX Carpet Cleaner and in order for it to suck up any liquid I have to constantly (less than every minute) clear the foam filter.
How do others cope with this?
Do they just end up on the tip?

Vax you say? Then yes, the tip is pretty much my experience.
No doubt somebody will be along soon and say how great Vax are but in my (not inconsiderable) experience the quality is very poor.0 -
Not had this problem. Make sure the carpet has a good vacuum before using the cleaner. What model are you using?0
