Hi,
Ive just got a mortgage now my credit file is appaling. Loads of searches from places like British gas, catalogue (Very eventhough i paid the item in full), Ikano bank (scs) how long does it generally take for my credit file to look appealing to lenders? I am looking for a car in the next few months as mine is too small for my needs. Never missed a payment on any accounts I have had before. I have the following:
1 CC - £2000 limit 5months left on 0%
Loan - £4000.00 left (42months left to run).

I think it is actually quite easy to get a car on finance, as the account is secured against the vehicle.
The MSE way of doing things, is to buy a cheap runabout whilst you save up for the car you want...
I work within the voluntary sector, supporting vulnerable people to rebuild their lives.

I already have a cheap run about
. Ive tried to get a car on finance but it keeps coming back at a ridiculous amount of APR. I think I may wait 6months and try again. 0
