Writing to Car insurance company (to reject 1st offer & requesting a higher offer)..How to word?

If a car insurance company have offered you a low offer settlement for a collision, and it is known their first offer is low and you can request a higher one, by showing them evidence that the car with same millage, age, etc is worth more (eg autotrader adverts/ parker etc)
If you show them photos of these images as 'proof' that the car has higher value, and you send these in with a letter/email..
then what should the wording of the letter/ email be? even if in vague sentences, can you give some examples/ pointers please
Have you written this type of letter to your car insurers in the past, and what did you write?
Any example template letters you can show? or a quick draft you can show me?
Thanks xx

Dear insurer,
Thank you for your offer of £xx in settlement for my car registration number XXX. I was actually disappointed with this offer as it does not give me sufficient money to buy a car similar to the one I had. I attach copies of autotrader adverts for similar cars that have prices of X, Y & Z. I am therefore looking for a settlement figure nearer to ZZZ.

Have you done this yourself for any previous claim ?0 -
No, but a family member has and she used the autotrader ads as a bargaining tool. She also phoned them near the month end and said she wanted to reach agreement so she wanted to speak to someone with the authority to make a deal.katesheet said:
