Together Energy
Options
Hi,
I left Together Energy more than 1 year ago and recently they took £1740 from my bank account. I thought I cancelled my DD but apparently not.
I tried to get money refunded since January, even though they agreed I should get my money back they haven't refunded my money.
I'm now worried, are they stalling me and if they are in the process of going into administration.
Is there a way to get my money back.
Thank you.

Contact your bank and use the direct debit guarantee, not sure how soon after the payment going from your account you can do that but I'm sure your bank can assist, in my eyes it's theft from your account.1

Were you advised in advance of the intention to take £1740 from your bank account?
What reason did the supplier give when you contacted them as to why they had taken this money?
What was the reason the supplier gave you for indicating they would refund you?
How recent was "recently"? You say you asked for the money back in January, and we are almost now at the end of February. So when exactly was the DD taken?
What evidence, if any, do you have to suggest this supplier may be in the process of entering administration? Or are you just posting a potentially defamatory suggestion?

If you aren't a customer now ,and had NO NOTICE of the intended DD, then get your bank to recall it!
Together Energy are a complete and utter shambles. There is a FB group with over 150 members, the majority of whom ,are or were owed money by T.E.0 -
I was originally with OneSelect and after it went into administration Together Energy took over the accounts. Right after that I changed my supplier i.e. around 14th Dec, 2018. I have an email with subject "Your final bill is here" but I cannot access the bill anymore (on march 11, 2019).
>> Were you advised in advance of the intention to take £1740 from your bank account?
Yes, I received a letter or email. Also I received a mail from gocardless with subject: "New Direct Debit payment to Together Energy"
>> What reason did the supplier give when you contacted them as to why they had taken this money?
They haven't given any specific reason but they calculated that I'm in due when final bill is made 9 months after I left.
>> What was the reason the supplier gave you for indicating they would refund you?
I complained that the calculations made were wrong. The issue was with night and day time meter readings.
Now they are saying they owe me more than £2000 thats why finance department rejected refund of £1721.89

Latest, I called them yesterday i.e. 25th Feb
I called them 2 weeks ago, and 4 weeks ago
>> So when exactly was the DD taken?
22nd January.0 -

Can I just ask for refund? Do I need to submit any documents.0 -
Just asked bank for recall, bank said it would credit money in 1 working day. But company can raise another DD in 28days or something like that.0
