Benefit cap

Can someone explain the benefit cap?
My award is £1540.25 which is standard allowance, 2 kids, rent and Lcwra. I also get child benefit for my 2 children.
I thought adding them together would bring me over and they would deduct it but its not showing on my statement for any deductions?

If you have LCWRA you are exempt from the benefit cap.

Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Some rules may be different in other parts of UK.0
