Declined mortgage due to valuation

Just found out today our mortgage has been declined on the grounds of "evidence of movement both internal and external"... nothing more detailed than that. We've been informed that they mortgage company will reconsider based on a structural surveyors inspection. The estate agents has recommend to the vendor to do this, so I'm pretty sure she will be funding the survey.
Basically- would love some idea of what we are getting yourself into. We are obviously a bit upset today. There isn't really anything else on the market atm near us, so not sure whether to just walk away. I dont want to sit and get my hopes up.

No point in doing anything until the survey is done. May all be historic and fine.
Or may be about to slip down a mineshaft.
But probably fine.0 -
Await the vendors next move. They might decide to delist depending on what the outcome is. I'd carry on looking in the meantime.0

So it was the building Societies survey? Did you see it prior to application, did your solicitor give any advise?eternalmother said:Just found out today our mortgage has been declined on the grounds of "evidence of movement both internal and external"... nothing more detailed than that.
