Paying off credit card balance that includes pending transactions

If I pay off the balance of a credit card that includes pending transactions i.e. those that have not officially cleared yet, but are still listed in the total balance on online banking, will this be OK, or could the payment 'bounce'/be rejected ?
The payment will be via a balance transfer which will likely take a day or two to be processed anyway, but if the money is received before those pending transactions have all cleared, will this create any issues, or would it be better to wait to make the balance transfer until after all those pending transactions have fully cleared ?

I've been doing this occasionally for about 40 years (with an assortment of credit cards), and have never had any problems.washtenaw said:If I pay off the balance of a credit card that includes pending transactions i.e. those that have not officially cleared yet, but are still listed in the total balance on online banking, will this be OK, or could the payment 'bounce'/be rejected ?
