Good job it's not a serious disease that's going round. I mean the black death killed 50% of the population.
The village of Eyam is well worth a visit.  Proof that quarantine can work when done well.

    Devastating for the villagers though.
  • Between my ISA and SIPP, I’ve £36k to play with. Hmm.

Not even close.  Maybe when we drop 20% in a day.   I don't even think that's possible these days due to trading being auto halted at certain limits to stop bots going wild.
Anyway another day of dramatic headlines making people outside their risk tolerances squirm.  That is always fun.  At least the truth that COVID-19 is NASTY and REAL is out there  and people are now realising this.
  • A week ago exactly my stock portfolio was at an all time high.  Probably be 12% down from that at the end of today.  Swingy.

That's exactly my position too, I did take a number of partial profits on some funds, not enough though!
Another investing lesson learnt, even after over 30 years of investing, take partial profits when you can.
I've made some profits, especially on Fundsmith buy backs.
Also very pleased how Troy Trojan has stood up to the correction, also capital Gearing and CG absolute return.
Wonder what the weekend will bring to markets thinking, will be interesting to see on Monday Am.

My biggest concern now is the housing market.  We have a house to sell this year.  It will be a big problem if it won't sell or only sells for a knock down price.
Something like a stock market crash and a pandemic is just what's likely to kill confidence and the housing market.
Recession in the UK and most of the world is now probably inevitable.

Mr. Buffet says 'be fearful when others are greedy and greedy when others are fearful'.
