What would you do ?

Hello hope anyone can help me !!
So me and partner have recently been trying to buy a house, first time buyers. Now our credit isnt squeaky clean but we got a mortgage advisor who sorted everything for us. We met the criteria for both mortgages that we applied for. They were accepted 🙌 the survey was done. Then it went to the underwriter both times, Then declined ???

They will simply not tell me why. I have tried emailing, complaining, calling even a subject access request and i am still none the wiser to why this happened.

My motgage advisor doesnt understand it and he's been doing the job 20 years !

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Have you checked all 3 credit reference agencies?  Is it a new build?

Maybe choose a new adviser as he may be placing you with the wrong lender.

Were both for the same property? Sounds like the rejection is happening after the valuation. But usually you are given the reason in such cases.
  • Iv checked with all credit reference agencies. Not a new build. Also on the same property.

I did find out thay it could be to do with a linked address. But spoke to equifax and they advised that all the information i can see in the report is what they can see. I even asked for a manual review but same response. They also said they can not tell me the reson due to contracts with eqifax
