Young Family holiday ideas

  • @Savvy_Sue - wow - oh so sorry -  I see your point now.....that doesn't sound much of a holiday with a 6 week old.  It is hard enough attempting to cook or even eat a meal  at home, when they are that age.  I remember feeling literal shock that I couldn't go for a shower or even to the toilet and guarantee to be on my own. Being away from home and routines must be so much harder with a baby on hip. I didn't go away until mine was much older so I hadnt considered that

Yes I remember kids not being allowed in pubs - on holiday with our grandparents at a beach side place, and me and my brother sitting kicking our heels on the wall of a pub - whilst they nipped in and had a quick pint, we were delivered out a glass bottle of fizzy pop and crisps.  I remember really loving that, felt like a treat to have REAL FIZZY POP hah

anyway Im off on a tangent again lol
    With love, POSR <3

We spent a couple of holidays with Sunparks - half the price of Centerparcs, but with all the activities and no problem getting 'off site'.  The staff all spoke English....  https://www.sunparks.com/gb-en

We went to landal Darwin forest in January with our 2 year old twins and our dog and loved it. We got a lodge with a hot tub so it felt like a treat for us at nap time/bedtime. There’s a pool onsite, small free soft play & games room. Larger paid for soft play. Cafe, restaurant & small shop. We absolutely loved it and will be booking again. The forest walks are lovely, there’s a trim train type thing which our kids loved and a few hidden forest game type things. Couldn’t recommend it more. There’s also one at Kielder waters

I would recommend Sandy Balls Holiday Village, New Forest as a cheaper alternative to center parks
