in Credit cards
My partner agreed to take out a 0% interest credit card to ease the weight of £9k debt repayments her parents had accrued on the understanding her dad would pay it off monthly. Unfortunately a few months later he was diagnosed with cancer and died suddenly within a month, leaving her (us) with the bulk of this debt still outstanding.
Does anyone know of any precedent on this type of issue, or are we stuck with this anchor round our necks as I believe?

Unfortunately the debt is in your partner's name and therefore she's legally responsible for it. Was there anything for her in the will?1
