Issues with First Direct Internet Banking

I rarely need to make transfers from this account as I only use it to access the Regular saver. However a week ago, when my regular saver matured, I was unable to make any transfers (from the savings account to a current account, and then to a current account with another bank) - Keep getting a message saying somethign along the lines of 'something's gone wrong and an error code FD001T.) had to ring up customer services to transfer the money and was told some rubbish story about the internet banking issues being to do with not having any payees set up. Thought nothing more of it, however the same has happened with my wifes account just now when her regular saver matured. This prompted me to check my account, and still getting the same error code. Tried multiple different browsers and machines and makes no difference. Anyone else having issues?

Thanks. The move money features is enabled in the Regular Saver, but when I try to transfer I get a 'something's not right message'. Can't make transfers from either the Regular Saver or the current account, on either my wife's account or my own account.0

You can't make online transfers from an RS to a current a/c on maturity. You either have to wait until they do it, which can be up to 4 days or you can do it by calling them as soon as it matures. Same for HSBC/M&S. This is explained in the pre-maturity letters they send out to customers.1

The regular saver balance when mature gets transferred into an existing savings account or they set a new one up if you don't have one. You couldn't transfer money from your RS anyway. Also do you have other payees set up to transfer money out of your account, I trust you do? if not you need to generate codes from the app to set these up. Ignore if you already have done this.BTW myself and my OH have the RS with FD, never had any problems so far and with any other parts of our accounts in setting up or transferring money in/out.1

@beefturnmail I have several FD RS under my belt over the last 5- or so years, maybe more. I’ve never transferred any money out, just waited for maturity as the letters they send out say and they transfer it into a saver account that appears on your accounts list when you log in after 3-4 days.
As @Brewer20 & @Wheres_My_Cashback say, never had any problems with first direct just to balance the record OP0 -
Same here. Transfer after maturity is not instant. Takes a few days.
I'll be going through this for the third time in about 6 weeks.0 -
I am into my 9th RS with FD, and the procedure has been the same all these years. They always transfer the matured amount to another account, from where you can then move the money to where you want it to go. The maturity letter explains that moving the matured amount might take a couple of days, during which you are unable to see the money, or the RS. If you can still see your RS, it hasn't matured yet. Once you can't see it any longer, you can call them and ask whether they can speed up the transfer for you. You might gain about 2p in interest if you manage to move your money a day or two faster0
