I have had many of these, somewhat in the past, and they have always been fixed rate.  As they are always opened in branch then the applicant must query the position regarding variable rates.  I am not partaking this time as I need to shield as much interest as possible from tax.
I also note that Special_Saver2 specifically asks not to discuss Regular Saver ISAs.

For the Club Lloyds monthly saver, is it £400 max per calendar month, or per account month please? (I.e. If I opened today, 10th-9th). Thank you

I've not checked this but I recently cancelled my standing order, which was on the 20th, to pay in manually earlier in the month. The payment I made last week was accepted, and I think all is well.

Coventry month is from account opening date. I have to wait until the 23rd to pay in. I did it earlier the first time, and the payment was returned.

Also, the Coventry saver has to be funded from an external account.
