Once you hit £1000 there is no requirement to pay money in every month.

https://www.tsb.co.uk/savings/monthly-saver/?WT.ac=A00428How annoying. Recently switched out my TSB to get a switching incentive. I had the previous monthly saver at 1% but emptied it when I switched because I knew I wouldn't get the 1% anymore without the current account. If I actually want the interest though, I have to send them a form by post to close the account. How archaic.
No requirement to hold a current account once the regular saver is set up. It might make getting hold of the money a little more difficult on maturity although there is always the option to open up a new Spend and Save Current account prior to that happening. Cashback available via Quidco for doing so too.2 -

The Cambridge BS has today released a suite of new RS issues. Each runs for one year and has maximum monthly contribution of £250. But the best one, only for members of at least three years standing, pays 5.00%!

Is it worth putting £100 into a 0.1% easy access saver and leaving it for a year?............Hmmm, not sure that I CBA TBH
Hopefully, this Cambridge offer may encourage other some other Societies to improve their ownRS offers. For me all the plethora of 1% RS which are available are losing their appeal when compared against the 1 yr fixed term rates that are currently available.1 -

That's true, however seemingly one can hold one of the above new accounts alongside the legacy Cambridge Loyalty Regular Saver Account (paying 3.00%), which was launched in late August and withdrawn early today. After phoning the Cambridge to open a new RS today, I hold both the Extra Reward RS and the withdrawn Loyalty RS. The rubric seems ambiguous but, after checking that I've been a member for more than three years, the CSA didn't query it or raise any objection.7 -
Just came on here to post what @JamesRobinson48 already posted - the CBS Loyalty RS doesn't count towards the Regular Savers. Essentially, what they seem to mean is that you can only hold one of the three they announced today, alongside whatever else you may hold. The application is a bit of a faff as you can't do it online but well worth it if you qualify for the 5%, or even just the 3%.creditavenger said:

Yorkshire BS has today released a new Christmas RS: 1.00% variable,12 months term, max £300 pm / £3,600 total.

I mention this only for the record, as its terms do not satisfy the criteria for inclusion on this thread's list.
