No - £100 is the minimum opening investment. All 3 accounts allow you to pay in up to £250 a month - or £3k over the year.Nick_C said:

Isn't the reward regular saver essentially the replacement for the loyalty regular saver - 3% for members with one year's membership but with a £250 limit per month. Was it £300 before?

https://www.cambridgebs.co.uk/savings/regular-savings- you may make as many deposits as you like each month, however the total must not exceed £250. There is no penalty for missing a month but you will lose your deposit allowance for that month

But that's not what you asked!! You said the old Loyalty Regular Saver had same T&C as the new Reward RS which it isn't as what Nick was telling you is correct the old Loyalty RS only allowed £100 per month MAXIMUM!! That is I suspect why people are getting to open a new version whilst we still hold the old version.Rich2808 said:

I mention this only for the record, as its terms do not satisfy the criteria for inclusion on this thread's list.
Interesting no-one at YBS checked the website carefully. Seems there is an incentive to pay in £300.01 a month and get a £50 a month back - cool, great deal
"The maximum deposit is £300 per calendar month. If you deposit more than £300 in any calendar month, whether by cash, cheque or electronic payment, we will return the overpayment to you by cheque i.e. is paid into your account in one calendar month by standing order and cash payment, you will receive a cheque in the post for £50"I think they just copied the previous regular saver details which must have used a £300 example when the monthly limit was £250. The product terms don't include the £50 deal though. They don't seem to be able to calculate the maximum possible balance, its not crystal clear a 13th monthly payment with a 12month period is not allowed to me.3 -
Thanks for the heads up. I wasn’t going to commit more money into a new 1% RS as I believe rates will rise before long 🤞. But as this account can be closed penalty-free, I have started one of them nowJamesRobinson48 said:Yorkshire BS has today released a new Christmas RS: 1.00% variable,12 months term, max £300 pm / £3,600 total.

Coventry Building Society are reducing their interest rate on Regular Saver (ex Stroud and Swindon BS) accounts from 1.8% to 1.05% on 5 November. So much for rising interest rates.0

I am surprised they kept it at that rate for as long as they did tbh.apt said:Coventry Building Society are reducing their interest rate on Regular Saver (ex Stroud and Swindon BS) accounts from 1.8% to 1.05% on 5 November. So much for rising interest rates.
Their own latest offering has been 1.05% for ages now.0 -

Will probably put a big chunk of it in a fixed rate account paying 1.8% or higher.
Does anyone remember how many withdrawals are allowed on the account per year?

Can only assume remaining holders must be long standing customers with large balances.wiseonesomeofthetime said:

Their own latest offering has been 1.05% for ages now.Pitched it at just above other options to avoid a large cash outflow - it was nice whilst it lasted0
