Amex Gold card eligibility check only 3/10

I just applied for an Amex Gold card and was approved! When I did the eligibility check I only had 3/10, I can believe it normally you hear people with higher odds get declined.

Anyway I wanted to know when you find out the credit limit? There was a link to a video however it didn't work.

When I applied recently, they told me at the end of the application process. I also had the letter to confirm limit, PIN and card in less than 10 days. If you give them a call, they should be able to tell you.

Out of every 10 applications - 3 will get it - 7 won't - within your broad spectrum of credit history based on a soft check. You were one of the 3.  There'll be another 7 who didn't get it. (all based on statistics and averages of course) - so even if there was a 1/10 chance of you getting it - the chance would still be there. You'd just have to be that 1 - all averaged out over hundreds of thousands of applications.
