Hinged liquid bags

There are hinged zip clear liquid bags that you can buy online, but will they be acceptable at airport security? The hinged ones are more like a box shape. Or must you use the freezer type resealable clear bags?

You'd have to take advice from airport security on that - limit will still be 100ml per bag.Never seen one of these, do you have a link ?0

It's 100ml per container with a maximum of 1 litre per clear bag (of about 20cm by 20cm).NoodleDoodleMan said:You'd have to take advice from airport security on that - limit will still be 100ml per bag.
I've used a zipped bag for the past 3 years:

(making about 28 flights out of the UK during that time) and never had a problem.
The OP is probably referring to something such as this:

Gotcha, thanks - just a clear zipped bag.I carry my electrical bits n' pieces in an old Nivea toileteries zipped gift pack which is similar, never had any issues. That can't be a problem with airport security - the contents will though if they breach the rules, that's a different scenario.0

Resealable bag like they give out or sell at the airport. 20 x 20cm. As they dont give a width that to me says the bag is a flat, freezer type bag, not a cube like bag. I've certainly seen people stopped if they've had them.

I think a box-like bag like that may cause issues.
I believe it's supposed to be a flat 20cms X 20cms, not a 3 dimensional bag.

Well the rule is no more than 10x100ml bottles and a bag that's 20cmx20cm. Those bags at the airport can't fit that much in, so as long as you stick to those limits it'll be fine. It may get looked at. I managed to get away with putting my hand cream below the bag in the tray, I had less than 10x100ml but they wouldn't all fit in those tiny bags! I have taken other bags before that zip up, but nothing this thick.0

Depends on the airport tbh
For years I used an old zip loc clear make up bag, which was smaller than the dimensions mentioned, think purse size. Then one day I flew out of George Best, and they said it wasn't allowed
Nowadays I use a Ikea sandwich bag, no one has refused me so far0 -
My wife has similar bags which hold about half a dozen 100ml bottles. They are sold in many shops in the UK as travel sets so I would be surprised if anybody had a problem with them.
