Question about credit score/rating
Can someone offer some advice on my credit rating?
I have a £10,000 credit card limit. My credit card always has a balance on it, usually no more than £2,000, so well below the limit. I pay it off in full each month, so don't incur any interest. However, the balance is never '0' because i use my card for all my purchases, which i then pay off immediately. I do this to maximise the cashback i am getting.
My question is: does always having a balance on your credit lower your credit rating. Someone told me that it 'looks good' to occasionally have a '0' balance on your credit history. I wondered if this this was correct? Should i consider clearing the balance in full and not using the card for a couple of months?

To present the lowest risk to lenders, clear your cars in full each month, one you've had the statement (not before). But there's no need to stop using it, but equally little harm if you don't want to for any reason.
Any change to the CRA score or rating from either approach is irrelevant.0
