Usual Sunday breakfast and lie in.
Gammon in the PKP, will let it go cold and slice it, some for supper tonight, the rest for the freezer. Also used up some of the HG raspberries, there are enough left for another one. We had a really good harvest last year.
It has rained overnight, the sun is trying to come out, not sure how cold it is out, but it was jolly cold this morning in the bungalow, so turned the heat up a wee bit.
Yesterday I signed in to a new deal for gas and electric, starts 10th April with our present suppliers best one I could find, supposed to save us almost £200 a year. Will believe it when I see it!! I am leaving the payment as it is for now. Our council tax is due to go up, it will be May before we get to a true figure for CT and rent. We both have civil service pensions, the annual rise starts from 12th April, me and 26th For DB.
The wind appears to be giving it some welly again this morning, trees bending quite a bit. Yesterday afternoon the wind lifted the hatch to the loft a bit, it slammed down with a really loud thump, thought the roof was coming in!!!
TA,I keep the ointment in for cold sores, DB is prone to them at times. As soon as his lip starts tingling he put the stuff on, usually stops it in its tracks.
No plans for today ......... except relax.11 -
Afternoon everyone. Most of yesterday was spent sorting out our mortgage, honestly I cannot believe it took most of the day. Any way the sun is out, for a little while anyway. This morning has been catch up tv with OH and trying to save my old kitchen blinds. Was just going to get them down and clean them. Sadly they have had it, . The fixings were a problem when Hillary's put them up some 10 yrs ago. Its a metal lintel so was a nightmare. It's an odd size window so can't buy off the peg. The blind itself is metal and has got bent on several slats and after if fell on OH head as he balanced on the draining board trying to get it down we have ordered a new blind from Blinds to go with side fixings. Really good price so we are happy. Dinner was roast chicken, roast tats, veg and gravy. The rest of the day will be more catch up tv. A very lazy day.

I decided to go out into the freezing cold sunshine. My order of a new cardi has been delivered to Waitrose so that made me go, that and the atrocious weather forecast for tomorrow. 🐟. Whilst there I picked up a few items, just in case!
I'd been eyeing the cardi for ages online, it's my birthday next week so it's now my present to myself. 😀11 -

Afternoon all! Havent posted for a few days because nothing much happened. Went out yesterday for lunch with some friends, saw the diabetic nurse on Thursday, yep, I'm too fat and must lose weight. So of course, dinner tonight wil be lamb, roasties, brocolli, sprouts [love sprouts, haven't had them for ages!] and fennel [ with added Yorkies, thanks Nelski!] . I'm cooking enough for tomorrow as well, because the purpose of cooking a sunday dinner is to make sure you don't have to cook the day after if you can help it as far as I'm concerned. I'm trying to empty the freezers hence the lamb...Did get a reply from architect lady from tv to say no work taken on outside of London, boo hoo but at least she replied
E-mailed another architect to see if they would be interested in doing some work, and did general tidying and sorting. Next week will be the big sort out, hopefully, I can declutter more stuff.
Coronavirus has made it to villages near my family there, they are on lock down with shops, restaurants and even the church shut for now in an attempt to limit the spread of the young man who managed to infect lots and lots of people...Nelski, always Yorkies, and I see your boring post and raise you another boring postTA, sorry about your sores, hope they go soon! And good luck with your bed fight...Gers, glad you had a nice time, it's all about the fun! RR, hope the car does well tomorrow...nanny, hope you can early morning it successfully. I feel your pain. Before, i could get up early, I didn't didn't like doing it. Now it's a real struggle. NRA, what anice surprise for your sister! Hey all reading along, hope you are OK....Slothful Sunday...

Hi just been having a catch up. Little grand daughter stayed last night - she slept from 8pm till after 7 this morning - little star. We had a lovely day together, DD picked her up about 4pm. Shes crawling now and into everything. ,,,we had a lovely play. At last I feel almost better, not quite 100% but getting there. Back to work tomorrow so I expect to feel tired, but I'll have nice early nights.
Well I'm going to wash up ad then have a nice bath before Midwives. We're forecast heavy snow tomorrow, so will wait and see.
