Why do Equiniti keep offering to buy my BT shares?

Its a regular thing, a mail shot from Equiniti telling me how much my BT holding is potentially worth and offering a trading service. No one else pesters me like this. Are they just trying to drum up business for their iniquitous trading charges or are they acting on behalf of a third party whos looking to hoover up BT shares ?(unlikely?)
Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..

They're probably trying to reduce the number of small shareholders, so they don't have to process quite as many dividend payments and shareholder reports.

The key question is, why on earth are you holding BT shares?
