NatWest Switch Bonus Eligibility

I recently opened a NatWest Select account with the intention of switching another account to it after checking it was all working first. I re-read the terms and it states "As part of that application, you must transfer a non-NatWest current account to your new eligible
current account". Does this mean I would not get the bonus if I now request the switch since it will probably not be seen as part of the same application?

I've contacted them a couple of days ago about the same thing and they said you'd still get the bonus.

Thank you. I presume I start the switch as an existing customer into my now opened current account.

@DavidAC Best get the answer from NW and make a note of the time date and name of the person in the team you speak to - if they don't pay you won't be able to argue as it isn't within a strict interpretation of the terms (you posted).

if someone has an existing Natwest current account, and an old bank account to switch, is it as simple as logging into your Natwest account, doing a switch(old account has £0 balance, no DD and no SO), and then waiting for the bonus?
assuming the NW current account will get min £1500 paid in every month and internet banking will be used all the time as it's an actual used account for day to day banking
it just seems too good to be true

I don't believe the terms said £1500 every month. Just needs to be once.
So I setup an account (existing Natwest customer but no current account at the moment). Switched my old Nationwide account to Natwest. Sent in £1500. Sent it back out again. Logged in via the app and now I'm just waiting.
I've left maybe £50 in there so the balance isn't 0.
So for your question. Yes, should be that simple. Apart from don't need the 1500 monthly.
