Who calls for survey access?

Hi all,
had an offer accepted last week - sent everything we needed to to EA. Sorted solicitors and told EA we were going with them. Got our mortgage appointment a week on Monday (already have a AIP in place)
the EA said they’d mark the property sold once they had a call for survey access - is it the solicitor who does that or the bank?

It’ll be the bank once your application has been received. Depending on who your lender is you may not have valuation until after underwriting has taken place, meaning the property could still be on the market for another 2 weeks! I’d ask the EA to mark as under offer at least once your application is in, and to cancel all viewings.0

if your only having the basic valuation for the mortgage, if however your booking your own survey to assess the state of the property and look for any faults then the surveyor you hire will contact the EA to organise access.0
