Hi
I am planning to go to Florida on 24th June for 14 nights. I don't have a hotel booked as yet and wonder if anyone could recommend one. We are looking to spend about £50 a night for a room for two adults and one child aged 8.
We want to stay on International Drive and quite like the area around the upside down house (sorry can't remember its name).
Can anyone recommend where would be good to stay and also where would most deff not. I am just so confused by the number of hotels and would reallty appreciate some help.
Many thanks in advance.

Hi,
We stayed on the 192 last year and are staying there again this year.
I-drive is a good choice of location though if you are not planing to drive.
Have a look at http://www.findorlandorooms.com/ they are probably the cheapest available for accomodation.
The upside down house is called Wonderworks.

I've just done a quick search for you.
The Hilton Garden Inn SeaWorld is coming up at £669.88 which is about £48 per night.
It seems to have a lot of good reviews on trip Advisor as well.

Its a little further down I-drive than you were after but there is the I-ride trolley that goes up and down i-drive all day and only costs 75cents each way.
Hope that helps

I can recomend the Quality Inn Plaza on international drive. It's right accross the road from the upside down house. It's a family hotel with the standard room with two queen size beds, TV, safe, fridge, microwave, etc. It has 2 or 3 pools, shop, bar, arcade and the likes. I've stayed here about four times now and all though it may not be the best in the area, it can't be bested on location. Just oposite the "Pointe Orlando" shopping/dinning/drinking centre, 5 minutes up the road from Sea World, 10 minutes from Universal and in the middle of the best part of International drive. If ya want to get into it, ya got to get out of it.0

Thank you to Bobsworlduk and chemtech for their replies.
I tried the Quality Inn Plaza but they were fully booked. I managed to get booked into the Sierra Suites (now called the Extended Stay Deluxe). I got it for £51.00 a night (bed and breakfast included), not bad for a suite. It is on Universal Boulivard (sp?) not I Drive, but it’s just around the corner.
Many thanks again.
