Ulster Bank Account Switching Service- Poor!

Transfered my main bank account from HSBC to Ulster Bank in November 2019, to take advantage of their then offer of  a fee of £150, if the account was still open in February. This is the third time I've used a switching service and the first one I've had issues with.
Found that UB had not informed 2 of my credit payees of my bank change, meaning that 2 credits that I was due where not being paid into my new account. Phoned and complained  and their customer service  basically said `Sorry. there's nothing we can do`. Obviously took it higher and eventually they said it was down to the creditors, as UB had informed them of the bank change. Ulster bank  gave me a £30  payment for my trouble. I then had to write to the creders and send new nominated bank account details to them myself. I`ve  now received the free £150.
Found Ulster bank to be the worst bank I've had an account with for 30 years. EG I tried to transfer money from them into another banks savings account and you would have thought I was trying to steal it! Having security in place is fine but they are so OTT in this bank it was unreal. Also found I wasn't receiving paper bank accounts because they didn't  have my correct address in their records. Useless!
Just wanted to check- when can I switch away from Ulster bank? Cant see it on any of the paperwork I received when I switched and dont even remember it being mentioned during the course of the procedure?

Even if they had not notified the companies? HSBC would have forwarded the money to the new account. This is in place v ia the CASS for at least 36 months.

Never use your main account for switch offers, use a 'donor' account, and you won't have such problems...

Those of us who don't open accounts just for the switching bonus need to switch our main account if we are simply moving our day-to-day banking to a new provider. Don't assume we're all on the free-money gravy train.
