Had my first spend of the month, not quite sure how to log it.
£103 spent on bulk buys - 2kg of chicken thighs, 24 chicken breast, 2kg on beef mince, 24 sausages, fresh chorizo, 1kg Maldon sea salt, kitchen disinfect x 2 ltrs and 4kg coffee beans, this will last probably 3 months, so do I divide by 3 or just log as one spend - what would you do?
freezer is proper full now 🥳Note to self - STOP SPENDING MONEY !!

MrT's came in at £77.74 this week plus the top up from last weekend is totalling £98.25 so far. It's the top ups that get you, even when you think you're being good! I only have another 3 weekly shops left this month so my remaining balance should be more than enough to see me though.

Another £24.50 spent for March (£72.50/£125) with hello fresh but that’s all of next weeks lunches and dinners(maybe even more I might need to freeze some portions 🙊) I can probably get through the month and stick to my budget but now I’m worrying about if it’s wise to use up all my food stocks in case things escalate... you know 😂😷8

Oh heck, shopped at Morrys on Monday £55,honestly I really hadn't meant to spend THAT much!. Some was for DD,though I'll never get that back. Some fruit and veg ,quite a bit of store cupboard stuff, flour, oats, pasta, tea bags and toilet rolls. (I left plenty on the shelves!) I found a spice shop and bought bay leaves, Bombay mix and dried mushrooms, another £6
YS diced stewing beef which was slowcooked and produced 8 portions,6 now in the freezer,1 went to DD..I did slice a few cubes even more finely and used them in stir-fry for my lunch! Not bad 9 meals for £3 worth of meat.
So I've got £64 left and £4 allowance for DD. That's a bit of reverse logic,I buy her food and get her allowance. DD is eligible for food vouchers due to her circumstances, though it's usually me who is the food bank.

This thread is keeping me so motivated to stay on track! I might need to turn off notifications though as I keep getting distracted XD Need to stay strong though. I'm starting to pack up my kitchen this weekend, as the builders will start hacking things apart soon. So exciting, but also entirely headwrecking as my house is filthy chaos right now!
I'm having an experiment at the moment, and doing a "roll over week" - using leftover ingredients from one night the following night (or within 2). It's actually really fun and I've been blogging a lot more as a result, as I really want to repeat this every couple of months!
Only a little to add to my total this week, thankfully. A tenner on two packs of pull ups (toilet training toddler!) and some sausages and back bacon, and six in t2sco on rolly puff pastry, cream cheese, milk and tissues.8
