Aaargh! March 3rd, and I'm more than halfway through my budget for the entire month! I popped into L!dls on the way back from taking my mother home from her 2-week visit, and topped up all the store-cupboard non-perishables that had run down somewhat in that time. Also I'd done a bulk order of flour from the mill, something I do every 4 months, so that's been added in too. On the one hand, we should have enough in now to see us through March, with the exception of fresh stuff, but including pet & livestock food. I also need to order a sack of oats, though. I'm very conscious of the need to have enough in store to keep 4+ people plus cats, cockatiels and chickens for two weeks, if necessary...
ETA: oats now added too... now to keep a tight rein for the rest of the month!Angie - GC Jul 25: £225.85/£500 : 2025 Fashion on the Ration Challenge: 26/68: (Money's just a substitute for time & talent...)8 -

Wouldn't be too bad but OH forgot his pizza for tomorrow so will be shopping tomorrow (we have everything in to make pizza but he can't be bothered *roll eyes*) hoping that is all that gets picked up.

Can I join this great challenge please? I am trying to cut down my spends on food shopping and use up some of what’s already in the cupboards. According to my bank account app February spends were roughly £200 for the month - this is down from the usual £300 👍. Would like to try and reduce this further to £150 for March 🤞. First shop of the month coming today so will update later with the damage.9
