Lost Driving Licence with 18 mths left on. If I apply for replacement will this have 18 mths/10 yrs?

Hi all
As you can see from title I have lost my driving licence. It had less than 18 months on and I was going to renew it next year anyway. If I apply for a replacement licence will it be replaced with the same short amount of time on it will it be replaced with a new 10 year one? I thought I might be better off just applying to renew my licence but then won't DVLA ask me to send them the old (18 months left on) Licence back (which I have obviously lost?

Replacement photocards - lost or change of address - don't extend the expiry, and don't change the photo. They simply replace the previous card.1
