No it will not.KCJA1989 said:Assuming the reconsideration is successful and HB can continue to be paid, will the registration of my daughter's birth be considered a "change of circumstance" with the council and therefore trigger a move to UC?Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. No, as you are currently on Tax Credits you can stay on TC and advice a change of family circumstances.

The addition of a second child will increase the applicable amount for your HB claim (and hence the HB payable).
Which happened first? The birth of your second child or the 41 hour week earnings?Alice Holt Forest situated some 4 miles south of Farnham forms the most northerly gateway to the South Downs National Park.0 -
Update.
The reconsideration was successful. The Housing Benefit payment has been reinstated from 03/02/2020. The payslips have been averaged over the weeks and I have been advised by the Head of Benefits to send the payslips to be processed on a quarterly basis.
Thanks again for all of the help at this time.2 -

Thanks. I feel it was the right and fair decision.
I received a letter today from the our housing association informing me of a rent increase - this won't have an affect on my Housing Benefit claim, will it? After all that - this doesn't count as a dreaded "change of circumstances", does it? Thanks.0 -
No it's not a change of circumstances. You do need to provide details of the new rent to the benefits team however and your HB will be recalculated to tale account of the new rent.KCJA1989 said:I received a letter today from the our housing association informing me of a rent increase - this won't have an affect on my Housing Benefit claim, will it?
