Morning all.I didn't manage to get on here yesterday as I felt right out of sorts. Dad didn't help either as he called in and he was spoiling for a fight. I'd had a booklet from our water co and he kept saying that the information in it was all lies, but it was there in black and white. His parting shot was that they were run by the Chinese
. I'm sure he's an alien from another planet ! Unfortunately for him I refused to argue and I walked away. Apologies, rant over.
Our DGD is coming for a sleepover this afternoon so I'm girding my loins for the whirlwind. Not really, she's as good as gold, but I suspect lots of things will get done in the crafting/gaming dept ! We girls are camping tonight in the other bedroom so I'll probably be in bed by 9pm and I have the rations ready for a film tonight, as requested. The DGS came back from Harry Potter exhibit and he was beaming from ear to ear. In fact they all enjoyed it, but DD, SiL and DGD really had no idea what was going on:)
Scarlett Thanks for asking, we are Ok here ( half way up a mountain ) but there are a lot of heartbroken families not far away from us. Luckily the community has rallied round them. Our " go to " garden centre is cut off though and we often travel to Monmouth. It's such a pretty placeBellabella It sure is an awful lot of money to spend on one outfit. I'm sure you will find "your " dress if you keep looking. I had an awful time finding shoes and a bag to go with mine, I even hit Cribbs Causeway shopping centre with no luck. I did find them eventually, although I had to make my own fascinator as there was nothing out there to match the colours in my dress.Anyway I'm going to have a relaxing bubble bath now, so I'll love you and leave you.Take care allnan xx

Morning again! I got back from the vet excursion within three quarters of an hour and the house was still in one piece! With the girls sat quietly watching some rubbish kids prog. Nothing sinister to report from the biopsies but they do show a very deep seated infection, probably of long standing. Most likely caused by house dust allergy. Another injection and an intensive antibiotic course for 2 weeks, then back again to see him!! Poor little Sparkle. Once again he recommended oil of primrose but I had no success with that last time I tried.. I pierced the capsule and sprinkled it on her food - which then got left! Any advice from the vet owners on here who have used it?
BELLA about the wedding outfit! No words of wisdom really other than to say I spent a fortune on my outfit for DD's wedding in Sorrento (the marriage didnt last!!) and it hasn't seen the light of day since! It's still in the spare wardrobe inside it's posh cover and I very much doubt it would fit me any more if I did want to wear it! So if you are thinking of spending a lot of money, then make sure it is something you would wear again to get your money's worth out of it. I would steer clear of having an expensive outfit made if I were you as there is no guarantee you would like yourself in it once finished. There's no easy answer really is there other than keep looking and trying on until you find just what you are looking for and happy with.
The promised heavy rain hasn't arrived yet. It's more like April showers with sun in amongst. I have never been as fed up of a winter as I have this one. Take care all xx

Morning all,
Bins out, hens fed, just two eggs this morning. Expecting OH to suggest we go for the paper. Early pictures from Malta show lovely blue skies.......pictures here would show dark grey skies and it is still very windy.
Nelski......congratulations on trip to bin.....keep going but take it easy, do what team advises and you will be back to normal in no time.
Just been called to go on paper run......have a good day, back later.

Thanks for the suggestion BRAMBLING. I hadn't thought of that. She is fastidious about washing herself so maybe worth a try. The affected area is under her chin so she can't lick there anyway.but when I asked the vet about the possibility of anything to apply there he said not a good idea.He went into a long explanation as to why but I lost him! x"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. Afternoon all,Sorry I've been MIA due to having one or other or both DGc all week, apart from today, although DGS is arriving in a bit to stay over.I took the opportunity to nip into town to get a pressie for DHs birthday on Sunday. He said he didnt want anything but I got some new T shirts anyway, some of his have seen better daysIt feels like it's never stopped raining here, I seem to look like a drowned rat every day.I've been spending a bit of time on the weight watchers site getting to grips with it all - the scales are definitely moving downards slowly, am on my 2nd week. I bought the mag this morning so will settle down and have a read through that after I've moved the ironing mountain.Nelski- well done with the binBella, the main thing is you feel comfortable and enjoy the day.On with the ironingTake care folks x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. RosyRed come and join us on the Old Style Weight loss thread we are very friendly and supportive xI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.5
