Hi all,
New to the forum and just had a quick question. Whilst I know that sub-letting is not permitted, I was wondering what the policy would be if my parents lived at the house I purchase whilst I rent elsewhere for the majority of the time? Would this be considered as sub-letting even though they are family?
This is one of the alternative methods, but it's also possible for me to still live at my SO house, just with a bit more of an inconvenience commute wise.
Thanks for your help!

If it isnt your main residence then yes it would be classed as sub letting.

The fact that they are your parents as opposed to strangers is irrelevant. You would be sub-letting if you're living in a rental elsewhere.1
