How to downgrade to a Santander Lite when you have two 123 current accounts

My partner has a couple of the Santander 123 current accounts and because of the interest rate news is going to downgrade one of the accounts to the Lite version. However she's not sure on how to do this online, hopefully someone can help.
E.g. consider the following:
She's currently logged into her Santander online account and is looking at the My accounts view of her account which shows all her accounts.
On the right hand side she can see an Upgrade current account link, so she clicks that. ( She expected to see an upgrade button when she actually went into the account that she wants to downgrade, but the only upgrade path she can see is when she looks at the My accounts view above.)
She now sees the types of accounts and clicks on the Find out more button for the 123 Lite current account.
She now sees an Upgrade button so clicks on that.
It now says there are two ways to do the upgrade. She chooses the Online way.
It now scrolls down for her to read and accept various documents and then asks her to click the Continue button.
However before clicking that button she wants to know what happens next. Will it next ask which account she wants to upgrade, or is it stupid and because they now only allow one 123 current account will it convert both her accounts. The page does not give any hint about what happens next, but does give a warning about making sure you will be able to manage the new account just above the Continue button, so she's worried it might just go ahead without any further interaction. I'd expect the final button to be named something like Upgrade now, but who knows what their designers might have specified.
She'd ring them up and ask, but is wary that they might close one of the accounts because of their current rules of only allowing one.
Many thanks for any assistance.

You need to phone them. I recently downgraded my father's 123 account to an essential account, but only by phoning them.#2 Saving for Christmas 2024 - £1 a day challenge. £325 of £3660

Could just close one, then Downgrade remaining one. There was no point in having 2 accounts in the first place given the fees make it not worthwhile0

Click on continue.
On the next page it asks for your details (even though you're logged in) and below that It will ask for the sort code and ac number you want to 'upgrade' to lite.1 -
Thanks for this, I'll pass this into my partner so she can do the 'upgrade' without worry now.soulsaver said:On the next page it asks for your details (even though you're logged in) and below that It will ask for the sort code and ac number you want to 'upgrade' to lite.0 -

I've recently downgraded mine.
I just clicked on the 'upgrade' option, when I was logged on - it was much easier than calling. I got an email once it was completed.0 -
Sadly, to downgrade from 123 Lite to the 'everyday current account', you do have to phone .... it took me about half an hour!mrsmoneyworries said:it was much easier than calling.

You need to fill in the account details of the one you wish to change.
