Just an update if it helps/is of interest.SAINSBURYS - MY VRM ON THEIR SYSTEMI have just changed my car and tried to add the new vrm in accordance with the authorising email re old vrm.Automated reply received by return listing email addresses not now valid, which included the authorising email.Researched email address for Executive Office and repeated email already sent (re new vrm), copying in CEO.Next morning email received - passing on to another office.Afternoon received email - new car vrm now added to system. It seems therefore that another poster last year was "misinformed" when they were told that they could not do this (add avrm to the system).(I thought I had replied to that post saying "Well someone is lying and it ain't me". Perhaps I did not because when Ichecked the thread a few weeks later there was no sign of my post).Tesco/Horizon in a future post (hopefully).3

HYPOTHETICAL SCENARIO (HS)Would anybody be willing to advise/comment:-Say an SAR reveals emails that - in the subject/heading of this HS - contain the word "Privileged".Would there be any problems if the recipient (owner of the data) allowed the SAR contents in this HS to be available to anybody?.1

Apologies for revisiting my thread but I fear a "paradigm shift" has occurred.Quick summary of thread:-Requested permission from Sainsburys and Tesco to be put on whitelist to use accessible bays without a blue badge. With same evidence provided to both, Sainsburys immediately gave permission but Tescos refused. After loads of emails, with the robust remarks of C-m sent via MP to Government Relations Manager at Tescos, their legal dept. contacted me and issued an Horizon permit to park in the bays.Tescos continue to support me via the very nice lady in legal dept.. In fact I received the replacement permit a few months ago before July renewal date without me even contacting them.On change of vehicle there has been no problem when advising Sainsburys (even though a different person involved each time) and the usual lady at Tesco legal dept., of new VRM.Accordingly on latest new car VRM advised last month Tesco accepted but Sainsburys - via another different person after various emails - sent me the following:-"Thank you for your email.I have spoken with the relevant departments within Sainsburys who have advised only Blue Badge holders can park in our disabled spaces. As you can appreciate, we want to ensure all accessible space are available for blue badge holders. If you go into the stores, you visit and speak to the store manager regarding your personal circumstances they may be able to assist you further with your request ,as you would also be subject to any maximum stay restriction, unless agreed with the store that you can overstay the maximum parking allowanceI can advise only Blue Badge holders are exempted from paying for parking on our car parks.Once again on behalf of Sainsbury's, I am truly sorry for any upset and inconvenience this matter has caused you.Should you require any further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact me on the details below."I will post my proposed reply in another post and if anybody wishes to comment, amend or advise it will be gratefully received.0

Proposed reply to Sainsburys:-I have received your email dated 16th June and I am shocked, appalled and distressed beyond measure at the contents.I have no idea how the various other Sainsburys employees managed to add my VRM's to the whitelist - for several years now - enabling me to park in the accessible bays without a blue badge. Perhaps it would be helpful to find out.To make sure that I understand the latest position regarding this matter can you confirm that:-1) Sainsbury's Supermarket LTD are aware that I have Protected Characteristics under the Equality Act 20102) Sainsbury's Supermarket LTD are aware that the blue badge scheme is not applicable on private land3) Sainsbury's Supermarket LTD are now revoking the facility originally granted to me because of the above points4) Sainsbury's Supermarket LTD are also now BANNING me from using the bays without a blue badge5) Sainsbury's Supermarket LTD have a position titled "Government Relations Manager Group Legal" or similar and if so willprovide their name and email address when replying to this emailIn case this matter proceeds further I am copying in my MP. I am also contacting a lady who is an expert on these matters. For your information a few years ago robust remarks written by the expert lady were forwarded by my MP (she is now the Attorney General) to the Government Relations Manager Group Legal of another organisation with regard to a similar discrimination matter. It was then settled to my satisfaction when their legal department contacted me.I suggest you contact a suitably qualified member of Sainsbury's Supermarket LTD legal team regarding this matter because you have so far received very poor advice.I look forward to your reply in due course.I did think about also adding in the points another one about them potentially committing a criminal act (or is that OTT)I haven't been feeling too good for a couple of weeks so, as mentioned, any amendments (or start again) etc will be most welcomed.1

After many chasers eventually received:-"Thank you for your patience whilst I have investigated this with our legal team.We understand that our store team had previously allowed you to park in a disabled parking space without displaying a valid Blue Badge. This should not have happened as our policy is that only valid Blue Badge holders can park in a disabled space, as advertised on our car park signage, and we apologise for the confusion that this has caused you. We need to uphold this policy to ensure that Blue Badge holders can always get a space when they shop with us.If you do have a valid reason to park close to our store entrance that falls outside the conditions required to be issued a Blude Badge, it may be that you can temporarily use one of our parent and child parking spaces – in which case you would need to inform the store team at the time of your visit. Otherwise, we would kindly ask that you park in one of our standard bays on future visits.Once again on behalf of Sainsbury's, I am truly sorry for any upset and inconvenience this matter has caused you.Kind Regards,XXXXXXXXXXX| Executive Office"If anyone feels like commenting would be appreciated.0

Your problem is compounded by the DLUHC's proposed CoP that states only blue badge holders may park in accessible bays on private land. I brought this up in the call for evidence, in a video conference very recently, and in the previous public consultation. I pointed out that the government was introducing permission for PPCs to commit criminal acts, but it has been ignored to date.
I have hidden disabilities, and an Aunty/MiL who is physically disabled but doesn't have a blue badge. She is old school and would qualify for a badge but refuses to apply because in her opinion she isn't that bad. She is.
I fully understand your situation and frustration. I would suggest contacting the Sainsbugs CEO and asking her/him for their legal department's contact details to discuss this criminal discrimination they are illegally inflicting upon you and others in similar circumstances.
Local and national press/media are an option, but you run the risk of public ignorance and trolling surrounding the blue badge scheme.
Obviously your MP needs to be involved, and it wouldn't hurt to contact your previous MP who got involved last time, plus the
Minister of State (Minister for Disabled People, Health and Work) - GOV.UK (www.gov.uk) as well as the DLUHC and any other government ministry or department that deals with disability matters.
