Natwest - will I be able to check transactions in April for free?

Hi,

I was thinking of a particular transaction at 28 April 2007, for my Natwest Current Plus account.

Apparently I have destroyed the paper statements, and I can't view them online anymore. (they only allow viewing up to 3 months)

If I were to go to a Natwest branch, will they be able to look it up on their computer, for free? I just need to confirm the amount that was credited to my account verbally. Or will they charge me for such a service?

just checked my natwest online account and they will show me transactions back to june, but nothing before. perhaps if you are only asking about one specific day, they can bring it up on the screen - smile sweetly and hopefully they won't charge you (it's not like you want 8 months of print outs so fingers crossed they are reasonable!)

I think they can do 6 months back on one system & 12 months back on another.
