Along with dontone the skipping function is a most important, it saves time and in my case pain.

Can it not be upgraded in importance, please?

It's already number 1 on the next to be sorted list.  How can it be upgraded? Short of having a time machine and getting it done last week.

Stupid MSE not having a time machine and us having to wait.
Tbh though, you would have thought that as this is one of the more popular bits of the forums, they would have made it so it was as problem/clunky free as possible when doing this upgrade. A lot of us did point this out when asked for suggestions.
It does feel like they have treated the comp bit as an afterthought. 
I wonder how many folk have left due to the forum issues?

The comp bit is an afterthought. MSE is a Money  Saving Site not a Competitions site. The site had been running for a couple of years before a Comps board was added, after requests by members. No matter how big the comps part has become, it is still, first and foremost, about money saving.
The Entered and Skipped buttons are a fairly recent addition and we had to get by without them for many years so a few weeks now shouldn't be too much of a problem. They will get there.

Does this new interface make you save more money? I appreciate your explanation but it is irrelevant to what we have been discussing since we changed to this format. But thanks all the same.

Wow.

If you hate the new forum that much then why don't you just go?  It's been explained why the forum has had to move to a new platform, it's been acknowledged that some of the bespoke 'tools' we had on the old platform are in the pipeline, it also remains to be seen whether the new platform can indeed handle some of the things we used to have.  As @thingamaBob
has said, they will get onto these board requests in time. For now, have patience, or adapt the way you comp, or, find a location that caters solely for competitions and not for everything else that MSE provides. If it's really upsetting you this much (and by the passive aggressive, almost childish tones to your replies to your thread and on others it clearly is) then may I suggest you email the Forum Team directly with your concerns.

and that's fine but the place to do it is in the site feedback section where there is at least a chance that MSE staff will read it rather than in the comp section where the people that make a difference to what is done will not see it.
