in Credit cards
I've had a look and couldn't find the answer. Their Twitter doesn't seem to be for answering these types of questions?
I see they offer the longest 0% on purchases so i was wondering how long you need to have had your account closed with them before you can take out a new card and benefit from their new customer offer?

I think Sainsburys has a short period of 90 days compared to most other banks which normally use a 6 month period.0

They turned down my application about two years ago, saying they couldn't create a second account for existing customers.
I phoned up and said I hadn't had an account with them for several years. They admitted this, but some glitch on their systems was still wrongly treating it as a live account, and they'd had other people experience this. They said they would fix it and I could try again. I said no point now as I got a new card elsewhere.
I imagine they should have fixed this issue by now, but it might be worth a chat if you get a similar problem.1
