No standing charge gas supplier
Does anyone know of any supplier who does not charge standing charge or minimum charge for gas in the Middlesex area. I am with Ebico but they now have scrapped their zero standing charge and have now introduced a minimum charge, I believe around £15 a month. I use virtually no gas so I am paying around £180 a year for maybe £5 worth of gas. Or does anyone have any advice? Thank you.

It's called:
Ebico Zero Green Fixed v4.
Ask for it by name if you are struggling to find it on their website.
The tariff has the following key characteristics:- ZERO Standing charge
- 12 Months fixed price
- Green energy plan
- No exit fees or tie-ins
- Minimum annual bill value provisions apply,

Your best option is likely to be the Oak tariff from Green.Energy, Annual SC for gas is £34.76 and the other rates are reasonably competitive.
Other than that you're looking at:- E.ON - Fix Online Exclusive v30 (£36.32)
- Outfox the market - Fix'D 20 4.0 / One Green Variable (£39.35)
- (If region 20) - Yorkshire Energy - Green Whitby - Fixed until 31st March 2021 (£38.83)
Everyone else is above £40 a year.
Unfortunately even if there is no usage, suppliers need to pay fixed costs for each meter. Due to these fixed costs it's unlikely we'll see many, if any suppliers go for the £0 SC in the future.0
