‘ OK I will try to explain this as simply as possible and without bad language, but no promises.

When me Julie and I returned to the UK in November 2018, we decided for ease we would put all of eggs into one basket with EE, so broadband, landline telephone, TV and 3 mobile phones.
Today I popped into my local EE shop in Dorchester, where I made an enquiry, whilst I was there I was told, that the EE TV service was being removed shortly, but they were selling Apple TV and BT”. For us once EE TV stops, I will have no TV unless I sort something else out.
“First question, I assume the payment for EE TV will be removed from my bill, when this happens”
“Sorry, I have no idea about that”
“OK” said I “what alternatives are there?”
“your options are either Apple TV or BT TV”
“OK, please explain”
“Well Apple TV is similar to Sky, you have to pay subscription for whatever channels that you require”
“What about terrestrial channels and free channels”
“Oh no, Apple does no do terrestrial or free channels”
“Ok, then that is no good for me, what about BT”
“They do have terrestrial and free channels and other channels as well”
“Great, so I can have just the TV box then”
“Oh no, you have to switch your broadband, landline telephone over to BT, to use that service”
“Are you !!!!!! kidding me, what sort of a business model is that !!!!!!?, you stop your TV service and are prepared to lose over £40 per month from customers who want to subscribe to BT TV?, that is madness”
“I can’t comment”
A very exasperated me then said “How do the monthly package prices compare”
“I can tell you how much the BT package is but I am not allowed access to EE to check what monthly package charges you actually pay now to compare”
“But you are employed by EE !!!!!!”
He eventually tells me the monthly price of the BT package and continues by saying “I know it’s a pain for you but, the change will be seamless honestly”, He then checks the part of my account that he is allowed to access and says “If you change from EE to BT before November this year, there will be an early closure fee”
“!!!!!!?, how on gods earth is that !!!!!! well seamless or even !!!!!! fair?, you are removing my TV access, making me change providers and then !!!!!! well fining me for that !!!!!! privilege? And whilst we are on that subject, what will happen to 5gb of mobile data I receive for having EE broadband, landline telephone and TV?”
“You will lose that”
“Really are you !!!!!! kidding me?, so EE are taking away my TV access and nobody knows if that cost will be removed from my bill, you are forcing me to change providers, fining me for making that choice I am being forced into and then to really take the !!!!!! you are removing my 5gb of mobile data, does anybody at EE ever watch Dragons !!!!!! Den?”
