Insurance using "at Fault" CUE information

I hope someone can help me as im getting a bit worn down with all this...
After being hit from behind by someone last month, and the car been written-off, my insurance company has paid for the value and issued me with the money. However as there is a ongoing personal injusry claim/loss of eearings, Esure have listed me as "at fault" on the CUE database and until the all claims have been completed that is ho it stays apparently.
My question is... when taking out new car insurance, Halifax have informed me they want an additional £507 due to CUE showing "at fault".  The only thing Esure have done is sent a email stateing its not my fault, but Halifax wont accept this as it isnt actually a note stating they are correcting CUE.
How do I get this altered, and if not how do I get my money back from the increased fee

    Cue does not include a record of who is at fault. It simply lists the parties, injuries reported and the circumstances and if it remains open.

    Sounds like Esure are just being difficult, can a different insurer offer cheaper cover than Esure.

    Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.

    Until the claim is closed most insurers will treat it as "at-fault".  Unfortunately you may have to pay the increased premiums for now.

    The insurer should refund the difference in premium once the claim is closed as "non-fault" (ie full recovery made from third party)
  • I had a car insurance claim that was open for quite some time (other driver disputed liability). Once liability was confirmed and the claim was closed, my insurance provider refunded me the difference in premium, as they had assumed I was at fault until proven otherwise. It was very straight forward, i just sent a copy of the settlement letter to my insurer and they updated the details and issued the refund. Unfortunately I just had to pay the ridiculous premium to remain insured. I did ask the person on the phone to send me an email confirming that I would be given a refund once the claim was settled, just so I had it in writing.
