I did try to compromise on this earlier through the estate agent but she said the executor would not budge and shut her down straight away. Apparently its one singular date and that only.. in just over 5 weeks timenotrouble said:Time to get tough.1) insist property is vacant before you exchange2) insist on exchange within (2?) weeks or you withdraw3) insist on Completion within 2 weeks of Exchange or preferably one4) start looking for another property now, ideally via the same estate agent, so they get the message you are serious about potentially withdrawing.
I did consider on threatening to pull out to try and call their bluff but i feel like they will just call our bluff back as we won't be any better off if we want to get in asap. We'll just have to start all over again. Just very frustrating they are not willing to compromise at all.. thought it should be a joint decision between everyone in the chain..
Debating on saying we can't do that singular date they've specified as not convenient and seeing what they come back with. They'll prob want to delay until April then haha!0 -
Work to their completion date but just delay your exchange for a couple of weeksAn answer isn't spam just because you don't like it......1
