Hello!
My friend is buying a house and wanted me to ask the forum what the determining factors would be in deciding whether she should get a free, homebuyer or building survey.
I bought a new build so I went for the free one as there are 1000 houses on the new estate I purchased so chanced it but she is buying an older house (unsure the year it was built).
Thank you and hopefully someone can help my friend!

Anything which isn't newbuild is "older"! How much older, roughly?0

Surely she's got some idea? 5 years old, 50 years old, 500 years old? Might be simpler if she just posted here herself.1
