Hiya,
I am in early stages of purchasing my home. It is a 3 bed, 2 bathroom (1 wc as well downstairs)....
I've listed things that need to be done
1. System boiler to combi boiler. System boiler does work but old!!! (but i want to move it currently in the main bed room)
2. Bathroom (thinking just 1 now I can't afford all three)
3. Stair case is very noisy so that needs to be changed
4. Main bedroom
5. Flooring throughout the house
What should I do first? Help!

Change the things that cause the mess first. So moving the boiler jumps out as an item that will result in new pipework and possible drilling through walls etc.
Flooring also is quite disruptive - however if you are just talking about carpet then I would hold this back until the messy work is done (i.e dusty and paint).
Staircase a bit noisy, before changing it (which seems rather drastic to me), I would take up any carpet and screw down the loose boards (ensuring there are no electrics / pipework to screw through.
Bathroom and main bedroom sound like cosmetic changes so can be done when you have the funds.
Order for me is 3(if doing DIY), 1, 2,4,5(if carpets)

A staircase rarely needs replacing unless it is rotting.Any language construct that forces such insanity in this case should be abandoned without regrets. –

Treasure the moments that you have. Savour them for as long as you can for they will never come back again.1 -
If you doing anything that requires flooring to be lifted, ie, plumbing, then do that before new flooring. TBH, flooring should probably be the last on your list, particularly if you're also planning on redecorating too.1

Just had my staircase spindles reglued in by a carpenter. He added some new pieces of wood at the tops of a couple of them too. It feels v solid. Staircase 34 years old and spindles had worked a bit loose. Hope this helps!0

Don't get ordering anything until you have the keys!renfirsttimebuy said:So boiler first....one bathroom...

Live in your home for a while before making changes, what you think you want now, may not be what actually works for you when living there
