You r friend needs to start his own thread but there is not enough info there for anyone to help. Ask him to start a new thread with his marital status, if he is responsible for any children, is he working at all, disabled, etc.maureenbulman said:My friend is desperate for help,he has just went onto Universal Credit today,he was left about £9,000 in his mothers will recently.he has just signed up to get universal credit but does not know how much he will receive, any help would be gratefully appreciated.TIA.
He doesn't need to be desperate though, he has £9k so I am sure he has enough to last until he finds out what his UC award will be.2 -
Ignoring the other poster who jumped on your thread, what caused your Housing benefit and CTR to stop? Have they changed again? Do you get any other benefits (such as Tax Credits)?kayleigh85 said:I work 31 hours a week and get help with my rent and council tax due to me been a single parent, they have recently stopped my rent and now I’ve got to pay 5 months back, they have told me if I want to claim housing benefits again I need to go on universal credit, I’m really confused with it am I gonna loose most my money now if I sign into it?
Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Some rules may be different in other parts of UK.1 -
