And also remember that the IHD daily gas cost may be a few pence out.  Unless it has changed with new SMET 2 meters, your IHD will have a preprogrammed CV value.  As this value can change daily, it will probably be a few pence out, compared to your actual bill.

Just for info, my EDF IHD does not show the standing charge being added at the start of the day for either gas or electricity.

Your standing charge (what’s a standing charge?) shows on your smart meter in-home display each day whether you’re using energy or not. The daily standing charge for the previous day is added at midnight for an Aclara meter. For an Itron meter it’s added for the current day just after midnight.
