Morning
Up earlyish this morning to make a batch of banana muffins ...2 sad looking bananas in the fruit bowl so figured I would convert them into an unhealthy sweet treatWant to try some bribery with the terrorists and offer cake for less vicious session. I am on the crutches all the time now but right leg is just not in the mood today and seems weaker than ever. Its a frustratingly slow level of progress.
Did mum shopping yesterday which was also frustrating it was all sweet stuff ..... 2 large bars dairy milk, 2x9 packs of kit kats, 3 packs of family size murray mint bags, 3 cheesecakes, 6 individual trifles. I had to remind her she needed proper food and she reluctantly agreed to 2 ready meals ....no fruit or veg so i threw on a pack of bananas which i hope she eats in between the crap. Wish I could at least take her one proper meal a week.
Saying all that tonight Im having a burger and sweet pot fries but a least the burger is homemade.
Goals today are the muffins and a good clean of the utility....yesterdays kitchen scrub was painful but well worth while
Hope everyone has a good day and keep smiling xx

Morning All
Dry out for now but rain due soon. White wash in, will hang it on the rack when it's finished.
Nothing much to report here, DD came over yesterday with Sophie which cheered me up. Thought I would be feeling much better by today but looks like I'll have to wait a bit longer.
Glad you're feeling better TA.
That's not resting RR!
Enjoy your trip MM.
Take care. XX14 -
Well my thoughts that I was feeling a bit livelier this morning were short lived sadly. A feeling of utter weariness swept over me from nowhere and all I had done was a quick flick around with a duster. It was then a real effort to just trundle the vac around getting the bits up where it showed. So I am now back in sloth mode yet again with feet up on the sofa, probably for the rest of the day.. Hopefully tomorrow I may have a bit of energy,.I just hate feeling like this. It sounds as though you are in the same boat CAMELOT x"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. Morning all. It's dry here too, but we're on a yellow rain warning for later...... again
I've reordered the Ark as I think we're going to need it !
I slept well but woke with a dreadful headache, which is only now subsiding. Today I will cut Mr Fix It's hair as we went down with the tummy bug before I could get my scissors out last week. Then I will hoover and dust downstairs and I'm hoping to persuade himself to steam clean the kitchen floor too. I have some good news too........ we've won the lottery ! Yea ! a whole £3.30p. I hope it doesn't change my lifestyle !
DD and family have gone up to London to the Harry Potter exhibition, I hope they have a lovely time and no problems.I am finding the format of the new forum difficult to remember who said what, as the posts are no longer underneath to check back on if there's more than 1 page IYSWIM.Where's my manners ? I think chocolate cake would sweeten me upHope your leg co -operates and you feel more mobile soon. Hugs.

No rain as yet but very grey sky...........Have at last made a start on the ironing, left the duvet cover I will struggle with it tomorrow. OH got the steps in and I managed to get the machine box back up, shattered now.
Mince to cook for tonight, so mince and tatties for supper, 2 small strawberry trifle for dessert.
So far I do not appear to be having the same problems with the osteo medication thankfully, Its a blooming pain in the back!! cannot stand or walk for more than 10 minutes before it starts..........its a case of do a job and sit down for 10 minutes than get up and do something else. So very glad I have a cleaner.10 -
My massage was good today, not as painful as last time as the knots are getting squashed! On the way out I just missed a bus so treated myself to a lovely coffee and an even lovelier almond croissant!
I'm back at DM's now and feeling rather tired so will have a wee lie down.

Afternoon all! Wood delivery this morning, and we stacked [ well, I stacked, OH passed me th wood from outside
], then I went to see a friend who makes the best chese scones, so we had two of them fresh from the oven [ so stuffed now!] and I'm about to go out to get a new light for the lean to strip light and one of those little round things you plug in to it too, then to the hairdressers, then back and out later for coffee with other friends.
I'm quite poofed already...However, it's getting me out of the house and mobile so what's not to like? Haven't lit the fire today because I'm not here to keep an eye on it as OH is upstairs painting his little men. It was so cold when I got back in though, the weather is windy, drizzly and nippy...Not sure what's for supper, it may be a packet risotto that I bought from Italy [ I got a few, Milanese and some asparagus and porcini ones, super simple to make] with a chop or something.Nelski, you're doing great, you might find one step forward, two back, three forward, one back type of thing. It's good that you are quite young too. TA, rest and relax, sometimes you just can't do everything, and the same to you RR and camelot. Bella, sounds like you nanny and nelski all need the charabanc to turn up...nanny, don't change too much will you? Gers, almond croissant and less painful massges, gold star! Hey new posters, my manners also slipped...sorry! Hey all reading along, hope you're doing OK. Whirlwind Wednesday!Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi9 -
Afternoon everyone
Another one whos's feeling a bit puffed out! Walked down to the hill to our nearest shops - about 15 minutes and felt shattered. DD texted to say she was on her way to same shops so she picked me up so that was handy. I was just a bit fed up of being in the house.
First time I've actually felt like cooking since I was ill. I've some chicken breasts marinated in garlic and herbs and I'll do roasted veg mixed with couscous. Will have enough for tomorrow night too as the chicken was yellow stickered and I'd just chucked it in the freezer rather than separating it.
Hope everyone else who's been poorly are feeling better

Evening all,
Survived the 3 hour drive (279k) without feeling as stiff as I had expected, have been ensconced in my chair (so granddaughter 2 says!) knitting since I arrived, apart for the short trip to dining table to eat a very tasty dinner.
Not very good news of my friend, she has been at home to recuperate before going for radiotherapy........six weeks of it, I am not sure if she will be hospitalised for that time as the daily dose is only a couple of minutes, but it is a fifty mile round trip so hard on her husband and they are not great at accepting help.
Speedy recovery to those who are ill, stay safe and warm
